This Medal was awarded to Navy plus Soldiers and Borders guards in 1944 for Bravery and Courage , a bronze medal and was awarded for  the Crimea and other naval battles , in total 14,020 awarded , this award is rare and of value, on the rim is the 4 digit number of the person that received the medal. Admiral Nakhimov was the commander in the Russian forces in 1850s Crimean war , Stalin through a decree of the supreme soviet brought in this award in march 3 1944.
