un16–Early British Dress & Nurse Cap.

This is an early Nurse set and also the wool Cape that is older than the dress. possible 19th century Crimea or First World War that may have been worn in the second World War ?  these capes where highly valued by the nursing staff . has the early red blanket liner and the matching red straps. the cap is named to a Mrs, B, V ,Wolstenholme . a very rare medical garment . her family name is very well known in later generations nursing .on one side of the inner liner is five small miner moth holes which are free of any moth..
